Fall-Winter 2014

Dear Supporter,

Cool Fall descends upon us with glorious weather to enjoy the outdoors. But many are struggling with the elements as they fight to keep from being homeless. As you enjoy decorating your home, just know that there are many in our neighborhoods who are struggling to keep their home warm and safe. They may be someone you know like Tom and Judy, who recently have had a baby requiring unexpected special medical attention. Yes, they are working folks like you, but they need our help.

At Community Care and Homeless Ministry (CCHM) Day Center, 815 W. Maine, we offer those who are dealing with heat issues a place to stay warm, look for work, shower and help themselves out of a tough situation through our work-exchange assistance program.

This ministry for the homeless and near homeless strive each winter season to keep people warm despite their circumstances through your help. Your gift $5 puts a warm coat on someone. $15 can help someone cloth their family and $100 can keep someone to heat their home.

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, you can expand that gratefulness from your heart to others. Click here to donate online!

You are certainly blessing another family with a life-giving hand up by keeping them warm. You're also giving them a reason for being grateful this Thanksgiving with such generosity like yours.

God Bless,

Lee Langshaw, Community Care & Homeless Ministry Coordinator
